9.8.26: Poem Untitled 2 #48

I share my coordinates with my mate. But how did we find each other in the first place? Good seeks good—and my particular construction had its complement in mind, when, out of the bowels of the infinite, I asked for help.
We communicate at different points in time: i scan a familiar range of frequencies, searching for the pattern that, by now, I recognize. I paint her picture, in every which way, and the expression on her face tells me all i need to know about the way she, ultimately, looks.
I learn to love what I do not understand, and, when I understand it, I love it that much more—as if it was love at first sight, which, generally speaking, I’m too skeptical to believe in, but, perhaps, at some point, i’ll eat my words.
I resist my mate, at times, confused by what would be too good to be true, if, that is, I accepted that some things are. But I don’t accept that—the universe is built around consciousness, and consciousness evolves until it, like the universe, goes on forever.

Everything I know, and ever will know,
amounts to the love i feel, when, for good,
I dedicate myself, in full, to the show.
if i took drugs, which, for a purpose, i could,

it would be out of longing for the divine;
But realizing that is the maximum high,
and drugs paint over what should be fine,
living, as then, knowing in full that He is nigh,

and, as such, you’d be chasing the dragon,
trying to be what is self-evident,
a life intended for everyone—
with His every doubt already spent

on us. So I spend my every doubt
on Him, and I don’t go chasing my tail.
If I want to know what He’s on about,
reinventing truths in every detail,

I look back, with nostalgia, on the past,
when His faith directed me to the truth,
and I followed the die that He cast
when, without cause, I channeled my youth,

believing in nothing but myself. We obey
His universal laws—laws that, above,
we do not discover again, here, today,
and taught, like the alphabet, thinking of

Him, and His impossible faith, since.
I have knowledge, now, at my disposal,
that he never had—so, if I convince
us to go to Him, and love Him in full,

then I do it with those assurances.
Whereas, before my time, although
questions went unasked, what He says
went unanswered, until He made it so.
